By Cherry Jackson

Directed by James Vesce
Choreography by Khalid Hill
Musical Direction: Noel Freidline
Production Design: Paula Garofalo
Lighting Design: Matthew Fergen

Presented by Twilight Repertory Company
Teatro Latea, NYC, 2016

Set in a mortuary in the Fillmore district of San Francisco in 1976, Larry James Fletcher (“Flet”) comes to pay his final respects to his childhood friend, Tyrone. He discovers their fates are interchangeable and lives disposable in a world numbed by the statistical avalanche of gun violence.

The production featured an original score by composer and arranger Noel Freidline and a live three-piece trio that plays an eclectic mix of jazz, funk, and soul. It presents the talents of tap dancer Khalid Hill (Broadway’s Bring In ‘Da Noise Bring In ‘Da Funk) in an electrifying display of energy and passion.

Twilight Repertory Company is an interdisciplinary performing arts company based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Its mission is the presentation of topics that reflect the concerns of social justice, equal opportunity, and personal and social health and welfare. Twilight Rep is committed to the performance of underrepresented theatrical and dance forms, new work from diverse playwrights, and deconstructed plays from the multicultural repertory.
